Kerb Appeal Driveway & Paths Frequently Asked Questions
What type of driveway and paths do Kerb Appeal makeover?
We can refresh and transform most driveway and path surfaces; mono-block, resin, patterned concrete, concrete slabs and paving slabs. We also work with wooden decking (depending on the condition) and PVC decking. The process for each is slightly different.
What is the full Driveway & Path Makeover process?
There are several steps and options for you. Step 1: We treat the surface with our Kerb Appeal Clear Green biowash to kill the weed growth, moss and lichen. Step 2: We pressure wash the surface to remove deeply ingrained dirt and growth - this brings back the colour and texture. Step 3: If your surface is mono-block, once dry we return to re-sand, to replace the sand that the pressure washer has removed. This reduces the speed of weed re-growth and is often missed by other companies. Step 4: We treat the surface with a biowash that works to reduce the speed of weed, moss and lichen regrowth. Step 5: We return to seal the surface with a professional drive and path sealer, which gives longer lasting protection. The type of seal we use is specific to the drive and path surface. We can seal mono-block, patterned concrete, concrete slabs, tarmac and resin; each requiring a slightly different product.
You can choose to do only Step 1. Kerb Appeal Biowash n Go. This does not include cleaning, sanding or protecting or sealing. It just kills the growth and last for a couple of months depending on the weather.
You can choose to do Steps 1, 2 & 3. This does not include protection or sealing.
You can choose to do Steps 1,2, 3 & 4 and/or add Step 5 for the full makeover.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the space we are transforming. For an average 2 car drive: Bio-wash n Go takes around an hour. The full makeover takes around 4 hours. If we are re-sanding and sealing we have to let the whole thing completely dry, so we return to do this another day.
What equipment do you use?
We use the best cleaning equipment on the market XXXXXXXX.
Do I need to be home when you do the work? Do you need access to anything?
We only need access to an outside tap. Our equipment is battery powered or powered by a generator. You do not need to be home when we do the work, so long as we can easily access the areas that we need to work on.
Is the Driveway Makeover a messy process?
Well, we are jet washing your driveway so yes there will be some mess. Good news though, we clean it all up before we leave, and we check your neighbours side too as sometimes there are some splashes. We ask that you remove plant pots, planters, furniture or anything else that can get in the way or might get damaged. We also ask that cars are removed from the drive and out of the way of splashes. We’ll ask your neighbours to do the same too if your driveways are close or joined.
What products do you use?
We use Kerb Appeal Clear Green. This is a very effective microbiological biocide that quickly breaks down and kills organic growth such as moss, lichen and mould, commonly found on driveway surfaces and roofs. It also acts as a lasting prevention of mould regrowth.
We use ProPerla Sealing & Protecting products, they are the best in the market.
WATERPROOF: These products are hydrophobic, which means they coat and seal roof and hanging tile with a layer that allows water to form droplets and bead straight off - and still remain breathable.
BREATHEABLE: Whilst coating and protecting these products are breathable so moisture doesn’t get trapped behind the tile, unlike other sealing products. A breathing roof will improve its insulation properties. Just a 5% content of damp in building materials can lower the thermal resistance by up to 50%. If a roof tile cannot breathe, a build up of moisture will occur underneath the surface, leading to irreparable damage to roof tile.
SELF CLEANING: Dirt particles can’t take hold on treated surfaces, they flow off with rainfall. This helps to prevent discolouration and salt efflorescence, makes it difficult for the growth of algae, lichens or moss on the roof tiles and slows the ageing or breakdown of the surface of the building or its tiles.
The tiles remain clean and attractive, even where they are exposed to extreme weather conditions including shade, high air humidity or sea salt penetrated air, and ProPERLA Water Repellent is completely unaffected by UV rays.
Are the products safe for pets and children?
The Kerb Appeal Clear Green would not be considered safe to touch whilst still wet, like many weed killer products. It does not contain bleach or acid. When dry it is completely safe, even if it rains.
If we are using this product on your roof we will spray this product closely and carefully on the roof only. We ask that you move hanging baskets and plants that could be affected by any small amount of overspray through the breeze. If we are rinsing this product, we will disconnect any water-butts during rinsing. Once dry its completely safe, even if it rains.
If we are using this product on your driveway and paths we will advise on the drying time, during the drying period we advise that you keep pets and kids away from these areas until it’s dry. We ask that you move all plants, planter and pots that might get damaged if there were to be a little overspray. We will cover borders and beds with a protection. Once dry, it’s totally safe for pets to walk on.
Is there any on-going maintenance required?
The products we use to treat the weeds and growth last for a few months. So, for a mono-block driveway, which is prone to weeds and growth between blocks, or your driveway gets particularly mossy due to its location, we recommend that you stay on top of this with a ‘Biowash n Go’ treatment in Spring and Autumn. We can book you in for this as a recurring appointment. The sealing products will give you longer protection.
How much does an average driveway makeover cost?
It depends on the size and scale of the job and what you want to achieve. As a guide for an average semi-detached house with a 2 car drive prices start from: xxxxxxx

Kerb Appeal Windows & Doors Transformation
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you transform all types of windows?
We only work with PVC windows and doors.
What colour choices are there?
hsgdjljgfljhgdfljhgfljgf
What is the Window & Doors Transformation process?
We use a 6 stage process to give you that factory finish look and hard wearing durability to your windows and doors. Stage 1: Deep clean of the PVC to remove dirt and grime. Stage 2: Sanding of all PVC to provide a strong surface. Stage 3: Masking and taping around all the windows to ensure the colour only goes where it’s needed. Stage 4: First spray colour application. Stage 5: Light sand and second spray application. Stage 6: Light sand and third colour spray application.
Most other companies do not lightly sand between colour applications and many do not do a third coat. The sanding, application and drying is what gives the seamless finish and durability. It also means its takes a bit longer.
How long does it take?
It depends how many windows and doors you have and the height we are working at. An average 3 bed semi detached takes around 3-4 days to complete. We have to allow each cost to dry before the next application. This is longer than many other companies as most other companies do not do three full sand and spray colour applications. This extra attention to detail offers the best finish possible and the hardest finish too.
The product is touch dry in XXXX. It continues to harden over the coming XXX weeks. So, we recommend that you are careful in cleaning and wiping during the hardening time. If you are considering changing door hardware we recommend you do it before or leave it until the colour is completely cured. And, sometime things happen, pets might scratch the door for example - if something happens during this curing time and you need a re-touch, you can call us - things happen.
What equipment do you use?
We deep clean the existing PVC by hand to remove stubborn grime and prepare the surface.
We uses XXXX spraying equipment, one of the best on the commercial market.
What else do you recommend if I’m having my windows and door colour changed?
Hanging Tiles. Changing the colour of hanging tiles to match and compliment your windows and doors can transform the look of your house. We recommend you consider this as part of your external makeover. Our process for this is: We deep clean the area and allow it to dry, then coat the tile in a colour of your choice to transform how it looks and protect it from weather.
Gutters, facias and soffits. These are often forgotten about, but they are a part of the external aesthetics of your home. If you are upgrading your windows and doors with a colour change you can compliment this with a similar upgrade of the gutters, facias and soffits. Some of these we can include in the colour change process and some elements may need replaced. Don’t forget these elements if you are transforming the exterior of your home.
Do I need to be home when you do the work? Do you need access to anything?
We only need access to an outside tap. Our equipment is battery powered or powered by a generator. You do not need to be home when we do the work, so long as we can easily access the areas that we need to work on.
Is the Window & Doors Transformation process messy?
No. We use tarpollen and protective covering if we need them. The areas around your windows are covered and masked to prevent overspray. We ask that you remove all planters, plant pots, hanging baskets, furniture and ornaments around your windows and doors so we can get easy access and nothing gets damaged.
What products do you use?
We use Kerb Appeal PVC Bright, a brilliant PVC cleaning product that removes even the most stubborn dirt from your PVC. We clean by hand and the product does not need to be rinsed.
Is it durable? Does it withstand the weather?
